Our mission is to provide a centralised facility catering to our local and greater community's social recreation and sporting needs for the present and the future.

Covid 19 Alert Level 2, play, active recreation and sport can happen under level 2, only if 100 or fewer people are participating. Keep good contact tracing and hygiene measures, particularly washing and drying of hands, and regular sanitising of equipment and surfaces are in place. Make sure you know (or can identify) anyone who is participating in your activity, including players, officials and spectators/supporters, in case someone gets sick. Opunake Sport and Recreation Trust National Honours Board


The Opunake Sport and Recreation Trust National Honours Board, recognises local individuals who have represented New Zealand, in an open level, in their chosen sport.

To be eligible, an individual must meet the following criteria

- Must have been selected by a National body to represent New Zealand

- Must have resided in the area between Otakeho to Okato

- Can be a current or historical New Zealand Representative

- Must have represented New Zealand at an open level, age group representatives are not eligible.
